Miliband Declares Support for Our Mayor

Ed Miliband has come out in support of a directly elected mayor in Doncaster. His support comes despite the local Labour Council forcing a referendum on the mayoral position in an attempt to abolish it!

Mr Miliband spoke out this week in favour of the current mayoral system, saying that it can bring "stability" and "efficiency". Mayor Peter Davies has described Labour leader Ed Miliband's belated support for a directly elected mayor in the town as "very strange".

Mr Miliband's support for a Mayor in Doncaster doesn't seem to resonate with local Labour councillorsd who want to see the position abolished. Labour group leader Sandra Holland, who clearly fancies herself as council leader, is now at loggerheads with all three MPs in Doncaster including her party leader!

English Democrats Chairman Robin Tilbrook commented: "We welcome Mr Miliband's support for the mayoral position and local democracy, however we suggest that some local councillors are more concerned with their own position than doing anything for local people."

I agree with Peter, it is very strange. The only possible explanation is that the Marxist Muppet thinks he can use gallons of his undoubted oiliness to convince the labour voters of Doncaster, now duped by their own party for decades, that they would do better with a directly elected Labour mayor. Be very careful, Peter, the knives are going to be out not only in Doncaster but sent down by the Socialist Fascist HQ in London. Are they able to parachute their own man in from elsewhere? He will probably be a pro-political correct, pro-multicultural metropolitan Marxist who cares more about anybody from anywhere beyond these shores rather than the Yorkshire working classes.

That Milliband support.

Oh dear, Do the English Democrats really want someone like Mr Milliband as a supporter, even an indirect supporter? Mind you looking at the track record of the Milliband family in the twentieth century, they do have an almost uncanny ability to move to the new winning causes long before the more solid people have even woken up to the way things are going. So maybe this is in an obscure fashion an endorsement in the future of English Nationalism. Lets hope it is. Still for all that do not want any Millibands involved.
