English Democrat Chairman Robin Tilbrook has launched an e-petition to force the Government to debate in parliament the need for an English Parliament, First Minister and its own Government.

The wording of the petition is:

Responsible department: Cabinet Office

"We, the undersigned, demand immediate legislation to call a referendum of the Sovereign People of England, to take place on or before the date of the Independence Referendum in Scotland. This Referendum must seek the Mandate of the English Nation to create an English Parliament, with a First Minister and Government for England, with at least the same powers as the Scottish ones."

Every government e-petition needs 100,000 signatures to force the government to debate it in Parliament. You can sign Robin's petition by clicking here: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/28819

Go for it. But why just request a "me too" version? What powers do you need to achieve your aims? I don't think the SG has powers over immigration for instance, so how would that help your aim?
If you got your local government same as SG how would the UK gov fit in? Are we talking federalism orconfederation or something else again.
England brought Wales and Ireland (?) Into the Union, what about them?
You mention soverenty but that rests in different places between our countries, how will you get your way - be prepared for all sorts of shenanigans from UK gov : McCrone Report, shifting land borders, ditto sea borders, obfuscation about the Barnett formula, subsedy junkey - that's what we have to deal with.
Why set the timing on someone else's agenda? Set your own timeliness. Be independent - BE INDEPENDENT go for it. - all the best
