English Democrats Fight Feltham & Heston

The English Democrats are contesting the Feltham and Heston paliamentary by-election on Thursday 15th of December. Our candidate for the by-election is London Chairman Roger Cooper.

Roger lives locally and is retired. Roger is married with two adult children and six grandchildren. He said he "I believe in family values, law, order, honesty and integrity. I believe that politics in England needs a shake up and politicians need to spend more time working for English interests."

The Tories seem to have already given up on the seat! A Tory MP told his party it has "absolutely no chance" of winning next week's Feltham & Heston by-election. Col Bob Stewart  hit out after Tory whip Michael Fabricant asked his staff to spend more time canvassing for votes.

The Tory MP Col Bob Stewart wrote in an email: "Who do you think you are? My staff don't work for the party so your email is illegal. "I campaigned for the whole day. I did two estates, roads, flats and houses. The vast majority of people were out and those that were in wouldn't open the door. I don't blame them for that. There is absolutely no chance of winning there. I wasted my time and will not be doing it again."

The by-election has been called due to the death of the Labour MP Alan Keen. Labour are expected to hold the seat.

Party Chairman Robin Tilbrook said: "Even in safe Labour seats like this it's important we give a voice to the English people. These elections are great for activists to pick up vital electioneering skills and for us to learn new techniques and improve our game. I wish Roger all the best for the 15th."

We are fighting the campaign with a full colour glossy leaflet which can be downloaded here.

I wish Roger all the best. Unfortunately English people are a small minority in this constituency. I am aware the English Democrats speak for all people who live in England and embrace our culture but I think generally immigrants, at best, think of themselves as British rather than English.
