A by-election blunder has left Labour party leaders red-faced. Labour has been left without a candidate in this month's Morley Town Council poll – after failing to hand in the right nomination papers.

The jailing this week of nine racist sexual predators has been hailed as a sign that the authorities are finally beginning to take this issue seriously. Leeds Chairman Chris Beverley reports on the case.
